We believe that healthy food, authentic flavor and honest business practices are the key to success. Founded in 2008 by local chefs with 40 years combined experience in the San Francisco Bay Area, we pride ourselves on high quality Pan Asian foods. Our products include all natural, local ingredients.

Beginnings:

It all started in 2008 by our team of Chef's who had a dream of providing Pan Asian and Dim Sum items to educational institutions. We started in a small 900 square foot facility in Oakland, CA and began our research and development. We worked with Executive Chef John Finnley at UC Berkeley and produced our Dim Sum line. We then started working with Orinda Unified School District and developed our Sushi Line.

Development and Growth:

As Omnibus Trading DBA Chef's Corner became more recognized in the food industry we strived to really make a difference and bring more quality products to more establishments. We moved our facilities to a larger warehouse on Hayman Street in Hayward, CA in April 2008. In April of 2009 we formulated our current Pan Asian Core Products under the Chef Panda brand. Our four core products include Vegetable Chow Mein, Vegetable Fried Rice, Mandarin Orange Chicken and Vegetable Spring Rolls. We stopped producing sushi, but began to introduce various other food lines without an Asian theme.

Present Time:

In January of 2010 we moved into our current Hayward, CA processing plant on Sabre Street. Our facility has over 36,000 square feet and we are now servicing educational institutions throughout Northern and Southern California. We also continue to serve an extensive array of institutions around the Bay Area and Northern California. We have over 80 different products ranging from Pan Asian items to muffins and bagels.

Food Processes:

We use the Individually Quick Frozen (I.Q.F.) method with all of our products. I.Q.F. ensures high quality frozen food because it does not allow ice crystals to form in vegetable cells. Also, since each piece is individually frozen, particles do not cohere and the final product is not frozen in a solid block. In our kitchen we freshly prepare and cook our foods and then individually freeze them within a half hour to maintain that freshness. This allows the products to be heat and serve in your kitchen, making it quick and easy for time efficiency and labor cost. In addition, our processing factory is Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certified, ISO 9002 certified, USDA certified and Wholesomeness Certified. All food production process exceeds code and governmental guidelines.

Food Development:

We call ourselves Food Developers because a large part of our business has been spent formulating specific menus for Public Unified School Districts, Private Schools and College and Universities. Each menu fits the guidelines for each industry and has been successful additions to each menu. We view ourselves as an instrument in helping to create solutions to enhance each site and continue to operate at its maximum potential. We know there are budgets to meet and we are willing to work with your budget guidelines. You can find on this website our "Develop Box". We invite your developmental ideas and thoughts!

Provided Services:

In addition to developing and finding the foods that your school needs, we also provide training to your staff and nutritional classes for students and parents. We know that budget does not always allow for an organized "nutrition class" so we are willing to come into your schools and institutions at your convenience and host a class with students and/or parents to provide a class with nutritional education materials and resources. Our teachers consist of College Graduates and Executive Chef's.

To further our customer service to you we also provide marketing support for our products to reach the awareness of your pupils and creative new menu ideas.
